We hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th! Today we get right back to it by kicking off our 9/10 softball all stars! Come out to our park tonight to root for our little ladies as they take on Rehoboth at 8pm!
Tomorrow night our Major boys start their tournament at 5pm in Woodbridge as they take on Millsboro!
Our boys battled hard all post season. They clawed and scratched their way through and never gave up. Unfortunately, our game against Milton last night proved a bit more than our boys could handle.
Although we lost, our boys held their heads high and showed tremendous sportsmanship. Thank you for a spectacular and nail biting post season. You made everyone in Nanticoke Little League proud.
In what was one of the most nail biting games of the post season so far, our Nanticoke Little League 9-10 all star boys got revenge against Millsoboro last night when they beat them 7-6. Millsboro handed us our first defeat last week so this was definitely a sweet victory for our boys.
But it’s going to get tough from here. We’re going to need all the down home support we can get as we battle against Milton tonight @ 7PM in Lewes. Milton has gone undefeated and has won their games pretty decisively but their loss last night to Laurel makes them the next stepping stone we need to take to secure the District 3 championship for Nanticoke Little League.
There’s no greater way to spend a summer night than at the ball park cheering on our hometown heroes so come out to the Little League field in Lewes tonight @ 7PM and rally the troops!
A pretty awesome win for our baseball boys last night in Lewes as we handed Georgetown a pretty decisive defeat: 14-3. Tonight we rematch Millsboro in Lewes at 7:00pm. Come out and cheer on our boys and help them get one step closer to the District 3 championship!
Major Softball – It’s all over. Lower Sussex beats Nanticoke 6-3 for the Major Softball Championship. Top of the 6th Lower Sussex down 3-2 with 2 outs and bases loaded when #8 batter Airelle Parker hits an in the park grand slam. We are so proud of our girls and wish them much success in the off season! Can’t wait to have you back next year!
9/10 Baseball – Laurel and Milton advanced in the winners bracket, while Rehoboth and Nanticoke survived to play again tonight at 7pm in Lewes.
The Minor/Major league All-Star season is in full swing. Our Nanticoke Little League boys and girls are doing well but could still use your support. Go out tonight and support your all-stars and show them how proud you are of them!
Major Softball lost a heart breaker to Lower Sussex on Saturday (6-1) but rallied back to beat Laurel 12-1 last night. We have our rematch against Lower Sussex tonight at 7PM in Milton. If we win, we have to beat them again tomorrow to take the district title. If we lose, well, we won’t speak about that.
9-10 year old baseball suffered a nail biting loss Saturday night against Millsboro (11-9) so that dropped our boys into the losers bracket. We are now in a battle for our all-star lives. Tonight at 8pm we play Lower Sussex in Lewes. Our boys really need some home team love and support so let’s get out to the ball park tonight and support our Nanticoke youth.
Tonight was a huge victory for our Nanticoke Little League Major League Softball All Stars. They played Lewes in Milton and won with a score of 24-2!
Next game is tomorrow night at the same place against Georgetown. Game time is 6:00pm. Go out and support our Softball Girls!!
April 19, 2014 will go down in history as one of the best days in the history of Nanticoke Little League. This was our first annual Comcast Cares Day. Comcast donated all the materials provided we donated the labor and man, did we ever. Over 590 people came out to show their support for our Little League park. We had kids as young as 4 and as old as 80 out there helping to revitalize our park and make her into the beautiful showplace she is today.
On this day, the entire community of Seaford and neighboring areas came together and worked as a team and had fun. Parents were teaching their kids how to paint. Kids were raking dirt and picking up leaves. It was such a humbling experience to be a part of. This has been the vision we have had for our Nanticoke Little League for a long time and it was amazing to see it come together.
Comcast congratulated us on the single biggest and most successful event in their history. They will be making a huge donation to the park next year based on the number of people who turned out and they are already planning their return for next year.
On behalf of the entire Nanticoke Little League family, thank you.
